Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Catenda collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users of the Catenda website. This privacy policy applies to all Catendas products and services.

 

2. Information collection

When registering as a user in any of Catenda products or services, you will be asked to type your name, email address, job title, phone number, company name, city and country of residence. This information will be handled under article 6.1.F in the GDPR Privacy Regulations, the purpose of legitimate interest.

We will also collect and store information from you when you subscribe to our newsletter, respond to surveys, or enter information on our website forms.

 

3. Use of information

We may use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • To send periodic emails regarding Catenda or product updates, or new products and services.
  • To follow up with customers for sales or service purposes after the initial correspondence.
  • To notify you of new features and services.
  • To continually improve our services.

 

4. Protection of information

Your personal information is kept safe behind secured networks and is only accessed by a limited number of trusted persons who have administrative rights to our systems. They are required to keep the information confidential.

 

5. GDPR

Catenda handles all data according to international standards, as well as the Norwegian data protection legislation, and we are compliant to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

The key principles of responsibility, integrity and confidentiality apply. All personal information is secured from unauthorised or illegal treatment or unintended loss, destruction or damage.

 

6. Cookies

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website, that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

For instance, we use cookies to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity. You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. Use your browser settings to make changes to cookie handling. If you turn cookies off, some features may not function properly.

 

7. Location of data

Data is stored on servers located in EEA. In cases where we transfer personal data to sub-processors outside the EU, standard contractual clauses apply. This data is only used for Catenda’s internal processes such as sales and improving the service.

 

8. Third-party disclosure

We do not transfer the data we collect to outside parties without your consent. This does not include hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our system, conducting our business, or serving our users, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We have entered into data processing agreements with our third-party processors to ensure that each data processors and sub-processors are in compliance with GDPR. 9. Remove your data

We store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the purpose, or until you make a request to have it removed. You can at any time unsubscribe or change your subscription from future company outreach emails such as notifications, newsletters etc, by following the instructions at the bottom of each email. Your personal data will then be erased and your subscription will be updated.
