Catenda is delighted to announce its latest move to continue their international expansion with the appointment of Agile Business Technology “Agile” to drive growth and adoption of Catenda’s offerings on the African continent.
Agile is a niche consulting organisation that serves the AEC industry (architecture, Engineering and Construction) in Africa and based in Stellenbosch, South Africa. This partnership will help construction and engineering companies across Africa to accelerate their adoption of BIM and digital collaboration technologies, such as Catenda Hub (previously Bimsync).
Agile believes that Catenda’s approach to “Open Standards” and features such as Catenda Hub’s unlimited user model and ease of use will make a huge difference to their construction and engineering customers by ensuring that no one (from either the client, consultant or contractor teams) is excluded from important collaboration and workflow processes.
Agile’s role in the region will include marketing, sales, implementation and support and will help to bring Catenda closer to their customers.
Håvard Bell, CSO at Catenda, describes the logic behind the strategic partnership: “Agile comes with a good track record of selling and implementing digital construction software to customer across Africa and we felt that there could be great synergies between our two organisations.”
Jaco Barnard, Managing Director at Agile, says: “We truly believe that Open Standards (such as IFC (industry Foundation Classes) and BCF (BIM Collaboration Format)) is the future of digital construction and that Catenda and Catenda Hub (previously Bimsync) provides a good fit for our customers within the AEC industry. With a growing awareness and adoption of BIM and digital construction methods, we are seeing more customer realising the need to collaborate better by ensuring that project teams are on the same page”
