French real estate development company, Bouygues Immobilier, chose Catenda Hub as their open Common Data Environment (CDE), in order to promote and expand BIM (Building Information Modeling) use in all of their projects. Therefore, they have many new users joining the platform on a daily basis, all of them have a need to be educated. That is challenging, but also very simple when you think about it.
What do most people do to share content, hobbies or educational content, outside their job context? They are making videos on YouTube. So why not? And guess what, that is what BI (Business Intelligence) did.
Bouygues Immobilier is sharing a series of eight high quality videos, serving as tutorials guiding project members in their first baby steps with Catenda Hub (previously Bimsync).
Each video is commented in French (for now), and describes clearly the process Bougyues Immobilier wants them to adopt on their projects. They describe major steps to be followed, such as:
- Starting with Catenda Hub (previously Bimsync)
- Using the web viewer
- Explore models
- Upload models
- Document management
- Issues management
- Notifications & settings
- Invite new members
It is worth noticing that, to my knowledge, it is a first that such a large firm is publicly sharing tutorials that are valuable for every Catenda Hub (previously Bimsync) customer around the world. That is a really impressive amount of effort provided to make BIM adoption a success. Bouygues Immobilier is truly a game changer in Real Estate development.
And again, as we mentioned earlier in a previous post, Simon Moreau must be rewarded for this initiative. Do not hesitate giving him your feedback and praise!
We want to take this opportunity to thank Simon and his team members that provided the videos!
Julien Benoit, Chief Customer Officer.
