Before Catenda, collaboration meant interfaces and barriers.

For its large-scale developments, Ten Brinke wanted seamless collaboration: architects exchanging information directly with every specialist office, building engineering, electrical planning, through a common model, with no interfaces or other barriers in the way.

The openBIM standard via IFC and BCF fit that goal, but it only works if everyone receives data they can actually read and use.

What they did with Catenda.

Ten Brinke adopted Catenda Hub and the openBIM method, building models in Nemetschek Allplan and using MindModel's BIM EASY ProAssistants to strengthen the digital planning process. The team can now compare models at very early planning stages, setting the groundwork so work runs cleanly on site later.

Catenda Hub proved well suited to progress monitoring and communication throughout the planning phases. Crucially, partners without deep BIM expertise could be introduced to it quickly.

What changed once the project had one source of truth.

Working together on the model across all phases kept project documentation completely consistent and let the team catch costly errors early, helping keep track of costs across every project.

Because the platform was quickly accessible and easy to adopt, even partners without expert knowledge could take part, and the relationship itself became a foundation for the long term.

The complete planning with all models, all changes, the collision check and the current status are available at all times. The foundations for very good communication between the project participants have been laid.
