Catenda Hub - Project Management Software for both BIM and non BIM users

Why Catenda Hub is the perfect project management software, for both BIM and non-BIM users?

Eva

This perspective is brought to you from someone who is neither a BIM (Building Information Modeling) specialist, nor an architect, nor a structural engineer.

I’m Eva, the Marketing Director at Catenda, coming from a Marketing background that has nothing to do with buildings, screws, or modelling. And I would like to emphasize why and how Catenda Hub is a breeze to use and can be mastered in the blink of an eye.

While Catenda Hub is mainly described as a BIM tool for construction projects, it is more than just that. Let me show you its abilities and benefits.

Catenda Hub is a project management platform — an easy-to-use and user-friendly software that seamlessly integrates into your workflow. It is designed to be accessible for individuals not familiar with BIM, while also providing expertise for AEC professionals who need to meet high requirements in their construction projects.

Essential Steps: How to manage a project effectively?

Navigating the complexities of project management can be challenging. However, by focusing on essential activities, you can streamline your processes and achieve your objectives.

  1. Store and share documents
  2. Track events and tasks
  3. Organize projects

All of this is available in Catenda Hub.

What features are the most popular and frequently used by Project Managers?

I would like to share my top 5 features in Catenda Hub that perfectly fit project management needs.

  1. Create and assign tasks
  2. Follow up projects (dashboard)
  3. Documents
  4. Document sharing (Great alternative to wetrasnfer and smash)
  5. Document comparison

Part 1 – Create and assign tasks

Not just tasks, but topics in Catenda Hub give you the ability to create and assign tasks to people on your team. You can set up labels (tags), statuses, types, and due dates.

How to organize your topics in Catenda Hub?

You can create different topic boards to manage various projects. If some topics are linked to topics in another board, you can connect them by tagging them with #.

User-friendly and customizable, the topic feature makes it easy for you to keep track of your projects.

Part 2 – Follow up projects (dashboard)

This is a useful tool to have a clear overview of your entire project and do progress tracking. As a project manager, you have shortcuts to some features (topics, documents, collections) and a broad overview of the latest notifications to keep an eye on it.

Part 3 – Doc management

This is like a drive but for a specific project, allowing you to upload all the documents and project data you need related to that specific project in Catenda Hub.

You can easily upload a zip file, maintaining the structure of your folders.

You can labels the folders or the files.

You can access word documents, slides, spreadsheets, PDFs, and watch videos. (and of course models, point cloud and all of those construction related documents). You can link those documents to tasks (topics).

Annotating the documents is possible. Once you have edited a document and want to upload it again, you can replace it to avoid duplication, and the system tracks the history.

Actually, you can do everything.

Part 4- Document sharing, also called Catenda Transfer tool

(spoiler alert: my favorite feature)

Also called a document collection, this feature allows project managers to share documents and project data with external people and project stakeholders either through an email or by sharing a link. This is the equivalent of wetransfer.com or smash.com but within your projects.

You can select the documents you want to share, put them in a collection, and share a public link. This link will be available as long as you do not delete your collection. This means that you can share the same collection with someone else if that person needs the same documents as the previous one. Easy peasy.

Part 5 – Document comparison

In Catenda Hub, with the version control feature, it is so easy to obtain the latest version of a document, boosting transparency and preventing confusion.

This means that instead of becoming lost amidst version 1, version 1.1.1, version final 2, version 2 final revision, etc., you and other project stakeholders always receive the latest project data thanks to version control. You can then compare it with past versions to check what has changed.

Part 6  (Bonus) – User management

You can create teams within a project. By doing so, you can manage access to documents so not everyone has access to everything. This can be done through the access control feature.

Convinced Catenda Hub is the best tool for your construction and building projects? Try it and experience the difference in the field

In a large and complex project, many parties with different backgrounds and skills might join at the same time. This is even more challenging in construction projects where different teams use technical jargon.

That is why it is important for us to create a collaborative environment software that is easy for every project stakeholder to use. Therefore, Catenda Hub, acting as a single source of truth, is much more than a BIM software or solution. Whether you’re in charge of planning (BIM coordinator), managing (BIM manager), engineering, supply chain, marketing, or handling finances, our platform is made to benefit you. It can adapt to fit your project’s scopes, goals and needs.

The platform has a simple design, making it easy for anyone to use for better communication and project management. And don’t worry, we’re here to help your project get the most out of our tool. We make sure that every department in your company can use it smoothly and effectively with the highest quality.
